Bittersweet, indeed.  I&#039;ll echo a comment from another blogger and say &quot;Well Done!&quot;  

I was interested in the comment from Doug Scott about the square holes in the redan wall.  I had thought of another possibility but Doug sounds like he&#039;s pretty sure the holes are placements for scaffolding.  I had wondered if they might have been placed to support the wooden seawall, remnants of which the team found last week.  It was a shot in the dark!  I&#039;ll trust Doug&#039;s expertise on this one.

I look forward to further entries as you gain information.  Thanks to everyone involved for a tremendous project.
