I'll echo a comment from another blogger and say "Well Done!" I was interested in the comment from Doug Scott about the square holes in the redan wall. I had thought of another possibility but Doug sounds like he's pretty sure the holes are placements for scaffolding. I had wondered if they might have been placed to support the wooden seawall, remnants of which the team found last week. It was a shot in the dark! I'll trust Doug's expertise on this one.
